CHARGES DROPPED AGAINST FALSELY ACCUSED CASTLEWOOD DAD and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED?

A well respected Professor falsely accused by his daughters (at Alsana/Castlewood) of incest has charges dismissed by a Judge. As in all the other false accusations cooked-up by the evil cultish "therapists" at Castlewood, there simply was "nothing there". Sadly, Mr. Givan had to enter into some kind of plea deal regarding lesser associated charges. After running CVU for about thirteen years, Mr. Givan (to the best of my knowledge) is the only person ever indicted for the insane fake allegations of abuse created at Castlewood. Typically once Law Enforcement and Prosecutor's bite into the cases of abuse created at Castlewood, they quickly realize its all smoke-and mirrors with no substance or corroborating evidence. My guess is these Indiana Detectives and Prosecutors simply were not trained or equipped to process a horrible situation like Givan's. Often as cases fall apart because of a lack of any real evidence the desperate under-experienced Prosecutors think to themselves, "Well, I gotta get SOMETHING after all this work!" So they offer the tired worn-down defendant a plea bargain designed to have the Prosecutor's office "save face". Is this kind of tactic fair? No, of course not. But it is nonetheless how things often happen in our court system. We here at CVU had the pleasure of getting to know Bob and his wife. We fully consider him one of our Castlewood victims, and are confident, (regardless of what the Prosecutor is doing to preserve his office's reputation), Bob didn't harm his daughters. Hey, it's Indiana. Not really a destination spot for top quality Prosecutors to hang their hats.

Two words in the article popped-out at me! "Permanently Closed"! As you all know there have been powerful rumors that the St. Louis Castlewood location is shut down forever. But as good as we are at CVU, we have not yet been able to verify these rumors. St. Louis no longer appears on any of the Alsana (Castlewood) websites. Message boards about Eating Disorder Treatment Centers say it closed. The author of this article about Givan writes Castlewood is closed. We will be reaching out to this media outlet for more information.

If it is true that Castlewood has permanently closed you all can trust that CVU will be taking a loud strong "Victory Lap"! As there is NO doubt that our thirteen years of exposing those sick cultish animals at Castlewood is one of the primary reasons for that businesses failure. Perhaps an upcoming headline here at CVU will read "WE DID IT!" However, before I generate that headline I want to be 100% sure. Please email us at castlewoodvictimsunite@yahoo.com if you have any info on Castlewood's closing.

Following is the text from the article:

Two incest charges are being dropped against a Purdue electrical and computer engineering professor accused of molesting his two daughters after he entered a plea deal with prosecutors earlier this month.

Robert L. Givan was accused of sexually assaulting his two daughters continually from the time they were in third grade up to his 2020 arrest, according to a probable cause affidavit. But the judge ruled this month that there wasn't sufficient evidence of the alleged incest.

He still faces two charges of battery against his daughters that took place on Nov. 14, 2018, which he pleaded guilty to as part of the agreement.

"This plea concerns an event from late 2018 deeply amidst (my daughters' mental health crisis) and represents the most effective way to move forward from the much more serious state charges, now being dismissed," Givan said in an email. "Throughout, I have cared deeply and energetically for all my children and love them with all my heart.”

Givan’s legal team claimed the incest allegations were false and a result of “false memories” being planted in one of the daughters’ mind by her therapist, according to court documents.

Located in Missouri, the mental health institution the daughter attended, Castlewood Treatment Center, has faced numerous lawsuits based on similar accusations. It is now permanently closed.

The detective who reviewed journals and papers belonging to the other daughter, who did not go to Castlewood, reported that there was no specific mention of rape or sexual assault involving her father, according to court documents.

Givan’s guilty plea was entered just a little over a week before Givan’s jury trial would have begun on Dec. 2. His sentencing hearing for the battery charges will occur on Dec. 11.

“Professor Givan was placed on paid administrative leave at the time criminal charges were filed approximately two years ago,” said Purdue spokesperson Trevor Peters. “That status remains unchanged. Purdue has no comment on the recent developments in this case.”

Givan has not responded to comment on the trial or plea as of Tuesday.
